Race Report
Heat 1- Starting 23rd for the first heat and Jack got a terrible start, having to take to the grass to avoid a collision in the Mid Pack this left Jack right at the back of the pack and meant he would have to battle through to salvage the heat. In the end after a lot of racing Jack managed to finish 10th.
Heat 2- Starting 7th on the grid for the second heat and Jack got a decent start moving up into 5th position after the start. Then quickly moving up to 4th place at the second hairpin, but it was short lived as Jack was squeezed at the complex allowing 3 karts up his inside. Jack then spent the race battling with Connor Stephenson eventually finishing a decent 4th.
Heat 3- On grid 11 for the final heat of the day and Jack again got caught up in the first corner carnage, losing a pile of places and ending up at the rear end of the field. But again Jack managed to carve his way through the field to finish a very average 7th.
Final- Starting 6th on the grid for the final after some average heats and Jack got another disappointing start as he lost a few places at the start moving back to 8th.
But immediately started moving through the field very quickly and was soon behind Greg Harper in 3rd place. On lap 6 Jack managed to pass Harper and set off after to the leader Danny Lloyd who had pulled out a gap on the rest of field. Jack started to put in some very quick lap times setting the fastest lap of the race as he chased after Lloyd. On the last lap Jack managed to squeeze down the inside of Lloyd into the complex and take the lead and with only a couple of corners to defend Jack crossed the line to take victory by a slender 1 tenth of a second.
