Rowrah - February 12th 2006
Heat 1 - Starting 2nd on the grid for the first heat of the day and Jack got a decent start and held 2nd position through the first corner before taking the lead at the first hairpin. But it was short lived as Stephenson retook the lead. Jack then slipped down to 4th but managed to fight his way back up to 2nd behind the race winner Greg Harper.
Heat 2 - 6th on the grid for the second heat and with the rain falling heavily Jack made a decent start and was into 5th by the end of the first lap and made another place up on lap 3. Jack then chased down Jamie Little and snatched 3rd place in the last few laps of the race.
Heat3 - 10th on the grid for the final heat and with the rain still falling heavily, Jack made a great start and was in 6th by the end of the first lap. Slowly but surely Jack made his way through the pack to finish a creditable 3rd meaning he would start on the front row of the grid for the final.
Final - After some solid heats Jack started 2nd alongside British number 3 Greg Harper. Jack once again maintained his position round the first corner and set off in pursuit of Harper. By lap number 4 Jack was right behind Harper and took the lead of the race at the bottom corner. Jack then put some space between himself and Greg and going into the last lap looked certain of victory. But going into the first hairpin a back marker took far too long to move out of the way and gave Greg the opportunity to gain the time back on Jack. As the back marker moved out the way Harper moved up the inside using Jack as a brake and pushing him on to the grass. Jack just held on to 2nd place in front of Daniel Payne.
