Heat 1 – Jack started the first heat of the day from 8th on the grid. The track was very greasy but Jack and his team had assumed the track would have been dryer and had more grip so he went out on a dry setup. Jack struggled with understeer and a lack of power out of the corners. After a very dissapointing race Jack finished 12th.
Heat 2 – On grid 2 for the second heat of the day and a brief downpour had left the track quite wet. But this time Jack was now on a full wet setup and was able to show some of his true pace. He quickly hit the front and stayed there until right at the end when his tyres went off and Amanda Lassu was able to come through to take the win.
Heat 3 – 13th on the grid for the final heat of the day and a massive downpour before the race meant that Jack would have to once again start the last heat of the day on a full dry setup whilst his rivals all managed to quickly change over. Struggling with the kart Jack had to settle for a very frustrating 14th position.
Final – After some poor heats Jack started the final from 8th on the grid. Jack made a great start to the final and was quickly up into 4th after the first lap. Two laps later the Bradford ace made his way into 3rd at the exense of Josh Fielding. Before quickly picking off the leading 2 of Payne and Stephenson. But on lap 5 Jacks fuel tank became loose and Jack had to hold on to that whilst fending of Stephenson. Using everything he had Jack managed to take his second win of the weekend which also secured him 2nd in the Stars of Tomorrow championship. A win which would once again prove that he is a main player in the Junior karting scene.
Jacks next race is the Rotax Cup at Three Sisters near Wigan where Jack will once again be a favourite as he takes on the best Junior Max drivers in Britain at his local track.
