Heat 1 – Jack started the first heat of the day from 17th on the grid and made steady progress in the first few laps. But at the half distance Jack turned in some quick lap times to push him up to 8th by the end of the race.
Heat 2 – On Grid 7 for the second heat of the day and Jack got a decent start and was up to 5th after the first lap Jack then quickly made his way into 4th and started to chase down Scott Jackson. Jack was past with 4 laps to go but couldn’t make up anymore places and he has to settle for 3rd.
Heat 3 – Jack started in 7th again for the final heat of the day and he was quick out of the blocks as he swept into 6th after the first lap. Jack then managed to pull himself up to 3rd by the mid race distance and set about catching number 27 Lassu. With 3 laps to go Jack made his move for 2nd which would mean he would start 3rd on the grid for the final.
Final – On grid 3 for the final directly behind championship rival David Sutton, Jack new he would have to make his move early on in the race as David was still lapping a bit quicker. Jack was up to 2nd after the first corner and was pushing hard to stay with the leader. As the karts entered the second lap Jack pulled out of the slipstream and hit the brakes as he made an attempt to take the lead. Jack couldn’t quite stop it in time though and David managed to sneak back down the inside of Jack. From then on Jack pushed hard but didn’t have the pace of the leader David Sutton who eventually won by 1 second from Jack who was nearly 6 seconds ahead of the 3rd place man Robert Foster-Jones.
