Three Sisters (Valley Circuit) - 8th January 2006
Race Report
Heat 1 – Starting 11th for the first race of the day and Jack got it horribly wrong at the start and dropped 4 places after the first corner. From then on Jack battled back through the pack eventually catching up with the top 2 but Jack had left it one lap too late and had to settle for 3rd.
Heat 2 – 9th on the grid for the final heat of the day and this time Jack got a decent start and was immediately up to 6th position and then up to 5th behind Stephenson. But going down the Valley Stephenson made a small error and with Jack right behind he had to take to the grass to avoid the spinning kart losing him a lot of time eventually finishing a disappointing 9th.
Final – After some very average heats Jack started the final on grid 5. Jack held his position round the first corner and passed Joe Mekene for 4th at the end of the first lap. Jack stayed in 4th till lap eight before making a pass on Danny Lloyd and Nico Angelides to move up into second position behind number 10 Liam Fenwick. 2 laps later Jack made his move for the lead and started to edge away from the chasing Fenwick and withheld some late pressure from Danny Lloyd to make it a great start to the New Year.
