Formula Renault UK is established as the country's leading single seater championship, launching the Formula One racing careers of Lewis Hamilton, Kimi Räikkönen and Heikki Kovalainen.
Its popularity and reputation as a source of future world champions leads to extensive coverage in the UK motorsport media both in print and online.
The championship also enjoys a high level of exposure due to its place on the support package of the British Touring Car Championship which attracts the largest race day crowds in UK Motorsport plus comprehensive television coverage on the ITV network. The series supports two races of the World Series by Renault, which has attracted a record-breaking crowd of 135,000 in the past, making it the best attended one-make single seater series.
